CSAC’s Accessible Housing Celebration, celebrated delivery of our first accessible modular home from WheelPad. The event brought together community members, nonprofit and housing leaders, advocates, elected officials and Vermont media for a first-hand look at one practical approach to expanding accessible housing options in Vermont. CSAC recently purchased two StudioPADs, a new modular accessible housing model developed by WheelPad L3C. CSAC’s purchase was made possible through collaboration with WheelPad and funding support from the Vermont Department of Aging and Independent Living (“DAIL”), the Vermont Low Income Trust for Electricity, and support from St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church Peasant Market grants.

Approximately 100 attendees visited to hear how this project came to fruition, CSAC’s work to support our community, including support through housing, and to tour the unit.
